This research analyzes the dynamics of the landscape in some areas located inside the regional protected areas, examining the relationship between landscape and the management operated within the protected areas, highlighting the need to harmonize the regional and European regulations concerning the conservation of nature with the preservation and enhancement of an essential resource of the Tuscan territory.
The study area of Migliarino is located within the Regional Park of San Rossore, Migliarino and Massaciuccoli, in a wet and wooded area located along the Tuscan coast . The area is mostly included within the property of the Salviati family, and this ownership structure is also one of its main features, compared to the rest of the Park, that leads to many problems related to the harmonization of its management.
